Mima Zoom Lite Balance Bike

Bought this for my 3-year-old because they weren’t quite ready for a real bike yet. It’s the Mima Zoom Lite model. Honestly, the main reason I got it was because it’s light.My experience so far:Weight: It really is pretty lightweight. My kid gets tired of riding after about ten minutes, so I usually end up carrying it back to the house. It doesn’t feel like a chore to lug around, which is a plus.Assembly: Took maybe 15 minutes to put together. The instructions were okay, nothing too complicated.Adjustability: The seat and handlebars move up and down easily enough. My kid is on the shorter side, so we have it at the lowest setting and it works fine. I assume it’ll last another year or two before they outgrow it.Tires/Build: The tires are that solid foam/plastic material, so you don't have to worry about air or flats. It feels sturdy enough, though the finish gets scratched up pretty quickly if they drop it on the driveway.It’s a basic balance bike. It looks nice and it’s light, but at the end of the day, it's just a piece of metal for a toddler to scoot around on. If you want something that isn't heavy, this one is perfectly fine.

This is an insanely well made bicycle. The frame is really well made and far heavier than I expected it to be. Assembling the bike is fairly easy, the directions don't offer much of an explanation and some of the pieces come preassembled so you'll get confused but by the steps. The seat is easily adjustable for he height. The lever is tough to start, but it gets looser with use. The one thing about the bike that it has no feet or self support. I understand the point of the bike is to teach my toddler to balance on her own, but the bike has too much weight to it. She isn't confident in it so it falls a lot. Overall, it's a great bike and very well made. But use with extreme caution.
